It also covers braces and orthodontia capped at $1000 lifetime limits and a 12-month waiting period. If you have had an insurance plan for 12 months, you qualify for restorative care for filling or root canal without waiting.

Renaissance Plan II
Renaissance has an impressive network of 300,000 dental offices nationwide. It has three plans and the coverage and waiting periods depend on the plan you choose. Their Renaissance Plan II has no waiting period for preventive care like cleaning, and you can choose both in and out-of-network dentists. There are no deductibles for preventive services. The maximum limits are $1000 per member and deductible of $50 for individuals and $150 for families. The plan covers 50% of the cost for:

  • Basic care at 50% in the first year, 60% in second and 80% in the third year
  • Major services at 25% in first, 30% in second and 50% in the third year
  • Orthodontic care is for children under 18 at 10% in first, 25% in second, 50% in the third year
  • The annual maximum benefit is $1,200 year, $2,500 in second, and $5,000 in the third year
  • The monthly premium ranges from $36 to $70, and you have to pay a one-time deductible of $10o

Humana Complete Dental Plan

Humana Complete Dental offers coverage for preventative, basic, and major services. They charge a one-time deductible of $50 per person and $150 for families. It provides 100% coverage on preventive services like oral examination, cleanings, fluoride treatment, X-rays, and sealants. Humana Complete Dental Plan offers coverage 80% on basic services like emergency pain relief care, extractions and root removal, space maintainers, fillings, minor restorative services and prefabricated stainless steel crowns. The plan also provides coverage of 50% on major services like (after deductibles) on root canals, partial dentures, denture repairs and adjustments, onlays and inlays, periodontal maintenance, scaling and root planning.

Ameritas My Dental Plan
Ameritas is an insurance company that has been service for more than 140 years and offers a variety of plans. Their My Dental Plan is a customizable plan that you can create based on your dental treatment needs and your family. It offers 100% coverage for preventive services like exams, bitewing films, fluoride treatments, and cleanings. You can get coverage of 80% for basic care and 50% coverage for major care. Maximum insurance limits per person is $2000 and a per visit deductible of $25 is applicable.
